First, we’re listing the more extravagant NYE options – think loud music, sparkles, dancing, performances. If you’re searching for the city’s biggest parties, this is your list.
1. J. Rieger’s 24K Gold Masquerade
Neighborhood: East Bottoms
8:00pm – 1:00am
This New Year’s Eve, step into the opulent world of J. Rieger’s 24K Gold Masquerade Party, a celebration that promises glamour and glitz.
Immerse yourself in a night of exceptional entertainment, featuring awe-inspiring aerial performances by Voler – Thieves of Flight, guaranteed to leave you mesmerized. The musical landscape of the evening includes the sounds of Wonderfuzz echoing through The Monogram Lounge and DJ Cquence setting the vibe in the Atrium.
The event features multiple photo booth opportunities and a body glitter bar. There will be a midnight champagne toast.
There are two levels of admission:
- General Admission ($150 + tax, gratuity): all inclusive access to the Monogram Lounge, Atrium, and Tasting Room as well as buffet and beverage package, including cocktails, draft beer, and wine.
- All Access ($250 + tax, gratuity): all general admission access plus elevated food and bar offerings, access to Hey! Hey! Club and Electric Park Garden Bar, both featuring music.
2. NYE Live! at Power & Light District

NYE Live! at Power & Light is a sought after destination for NYE celebrations. The event provides exclusive access to over ten P&L bars and nightclubs, including a Silent Disco. Party-goers can expect an array of entertainment, party favors, a champagne toast at midnight, confetti cannons, and a Times Square ball drop.
There are various package levels to choose from:
- Platinum Package ($185): This top-tier option includes event entry with all-inclusive beverage package (premium cocktails, domestic draft beer, and house wine), exclusive entry to the Platinum Private Party at No Other Pub, food stations, complimentary valet, private red-carpet entrance, coat check, exclusive ball drop viewing area, and a champagne toast at midnight.

3. “Step into the Neon Coliseum at Crossroad’s Hotel

Nomada ups the ante, transforming the ballroom into an immersive, unparalleled auditory experience. Their state-of-the-art sound system and a troupe of the city’s finest DJs promise to turn the night into a participatory celebration.
The recommended attire is retro-chic meets modern flair.
The ticket ($185 + tax, fees) grants access to an all-inclusive experience:

NYE at The Temple in Kansas City is in it’s fourteenth year. The event has a strict dress code policy, meant to ensure a classy and sophisticated atmosphere throughout the evening.
NYE at The Temple boasts the largest production in Kansas City with an array of lasers and a massive LED screen, ensuring a visually stunning experience. DJs will be spinning Top 40, House, Electronic, and Hip Hop tracks across three floors and eight party areas.
The longest open bar in the city runs for six hours, accompanied by the largest bottle service in the Midwest, featuring 55 tables in the newly renovated ‘Gold Ballroom’.
- General Admission ($50.97): Includes unlimited bar access starting at 8:30pm.
- VIP Admission ($60.97): Includes unlimited bar access starting at 7:30pm, plus one large light-up LED item.

9. NYE at Uptown Theater

NYE at The Uptown Theatre features DJs, a rock cover band, and a drag show. There will be three bars open and a laser light show at midnight.
Tickets are $60 in advance and $75 the day of.
